This is a remarkably candid and riveting interview with the inspiring Nikki DuBose (find her on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube!) who has courageously turned her tragedies into triumph. I was really taken by her raw authenticity as well as her commitment to help others. Nikki was at the top of the modeling profession but like many struggled with inner demons especially surrounding body images. She offers a lot of well-earned wisdom in this beautiful exchange.
About Nikki DuBose
Nikki DuBose is a former model turned author and advocate. She is the founder of the mental health community @tragedyxtriumph on Instagram. Her memoir, Washed Away: From Darkness to Light details her recovery from mental health issues, which spanned over 17 years in the modeling industry. The book has been translated into French, Dans L’Enfer Du Mannequinat, and is sold in countries such as France, Switzerland, and Belgium. She was one of the first models to help pass laws providing protections in the fashion industry and is a tremendous advocate for child safety.
