A deep and expansive conversation with the inspiring designer Jessica Maros. We cover her evolution both spiritually and professionally and how this influences her creative approach to living.
A native of Vancouver, BC, Canada, and a first-generation North American born to Slovakian parents, Jessica Maros is a Musician, Singer, Songwriter, and Interior Designer who has been honing her creative crafts since the age of six. After years of performing in Canada, Jessica secured a recording contract and in 2004 relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in music. With her band, Escondido, founded with Tyler James, Maros set out to create a unique version of indie-desert rock, published three albums, and spent seven years on the road performing around the world, while still finding time to indulge in her passion for collecting vintage furniture and shopping for unique finds to be used when creating interesting spaces for friends’ homes, as well as her own.
In 2016, while living in Los Angeles, Jessica began collaborating with good friend and renowned Interior Designer Leanne Ford (Restored By the Fords; Rock the Block). After two years working with Ford, Jessica brought her unique design and staging skills back to Nashville’s tightly knit yet burgeoning creative community, establishing Maros Designs in 2018.
