What a joy to interact with Bailey Gaddis (find her on Twitter!), a dynamic and inspiring woman who is clearly on a mission to brighter the world with the vast knowledge she has acquired through her many experiences.
Bailey Gaddis is a Mother, author of the book Feng Shui Mommy: Creating Harmony Amidst the Chaos for Blissful Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Motherhood being published by New World Library in Spring 2017, Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Birthing Doula, HypnoBirthing® Practitioner, IVF coordinator and a contributing writer for Huffington Post, Babble, Your Tango, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Scary Mommy, Flight Network, Elephant Journal and more.
Bailey embarked on her immersion in the pregnancy and birthing industry when she began working with the Egg Donor and Surrogacy Agency, Alternative Conceptions, owned by Southern California Reproductive Center. In her years working as an Egg Donor and Surrogacy coordinator Bailey developed a deep respect and love for the miracle of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. She gained a true understanding of the varying, numerous and incredible ways a family can be created, and the impassioned journey many travel to reach that goal.
After many years working with pregnant women and new mothers, Bailey officially joined the club when she became pregnant. Bailey did not experience the “traditional” pregnancy story. Although she was, and still is, in a loving and nurturing relationship when she became pregnant, the pregnancy was unplanned, and faced much initial resistance from her Monchu (Okinawean for “one family,” “extended family,” or “family we choose.”) She had a burning intuition that this was right, it was her path and she was going to push past the resistance, and miniscule financial status, knowing she would find her life’s calling through this unexpected, but welcome, transformation.
Bailey began the journey of a lifetime when she became pregnant; she experienced first-hand the multitude of decisions, information and opinions that abounded in the pregnancy, birthing and parenting worlds. Her intuition quickly led her to the birth preparation philosophy of HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method. She felt at home in this peaceful, supportive and spiritual method and soon had the desire to pass this message on to fellow soon-to-be parents. Bailey became a Certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner soon after the birth of her son and has been teaching this transformative method of childbirth ever since.
In addition to her HypnoBirthing® classes, Bailey is a Birthing Doula and able to provide a comprehensive support to soon-to-be-parents through early birthing preparation up to, and after, the sacred welcoming of their new baby.
Bailey wished to not only serve her clients, but families that did not have the means for additional support before, during and after the birth of their baby. The desire to serve these families led Bailey to the Nan Tolbert Nurturing Center where she is blessed to serve as a Parent Care volunteer and provide hands-on, in-home support to the parents of new babies. In addition, Bailey often offers her birth doula services pro bono to teenage and single mothers.
Bailey, who is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, works on a one-to-one basis with pregnant women and soon-to-be parents who have the desire to reprogram their subconscious mind, transform their life and produce the most nurturing environment possible for their new child.
