The luminous and wise Annemarie Shrouder joins me to discuss our compelling new book, Being Brown In A Black and White World, as well as several other topics like, race, racism, awareness, leadership and belonging. This is just a beautiful conversation with a brilliant and heart-centered human being.
Annemarie Shrouder assists organizations to create healthy workplace communities were people are seen, heard and valued for who they are and what they have to offer, and where programs and services are impactful, relevant and meaningful. Her passion is to create opportunities for people to pay attention and notice more – more of each other, themselves, and the world around them
An engaging & dynamic speaker, thoughtful workshop facilitator, and insightful consultant, Annemarie credits her approach and perspectives to growing up in a household with two very different cultures and languages. She has been an elementary school teacher in a multicultural school environment, has a Masters Degree in Equity Studies, and was a competitive swimmer.
Now, as a mother of a 8-year-old, she is even more committed to building understanding through conversation and connection, creating environments that inspire inclusion and belonging, and where people can thrive.
Annemarie works with diversity broadly, and specializes in 2SLGBTQI+ inclusion and racial equity.
