Years ago when I was in college, I used to lie awake all night listening to Jim Bohannon interview people from around the world. The shows were compelling thus making it impossible to fall asleep. This became a problem when I would then doze off in my early morning classes.
Luckily for me, I learned a lot more tuning into Jim’s programs, than I ever did in a classroom.
Way back then, I often wondered what it would be like to turn the tables on him, and see what he has garnered from his countless questions.
Flash forward…
One sunny day in Maui, my phone lights up with a number from the nation’s capitol. The voice on the other end of the line is warm and familiar, “Paul, this is Jim Bohannon. I just read Hitchhiking With Larry David. Would you honor me by coming on my show and having a conversation about this wonderful little book?”
His interview with me, broadcast on hundreds of stations around the world, including Armed Forces Radio, is easily one of the high points of my author experience.
Today, I got to return the favor when Jim was kind enough to join us on the Pauly Cast for a rare interview.
We covered a lot of ground and shared some tender moments. So enjoy this episode, and the words of this gentle sage.
