Charles Eisenstein is a public speaker, gift economy advocate, and the author of several books including The Ascent of Humanity, Sacred Economics, The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible and Climate – A New Story.
Charles graduated from Yale University in 1989 with a degree in Mathematics and Philosophy. He has lived in Taiwan where he worked as a translator. He married, had children, and later returned to the United States. Eisenstein currently lives in Rhode Island.

I’m still not certain why it’s any surprise that the United States government has deceived us about the Kennedy assassination. Deception as social control has existed in this government since its inception. I might add that most conquering nations of the age of empires has done the same. Ask a woman. Ask the conquered, the enslaved and the few survivors of genocides perpetrated over centuries.
We all have to use discernment to know who and what to trust. The disenfranchised know this well. This, I’m sorry to say, is nothing new.

A human trait we all possess on a personal and collective level “control”
Mr. Eisenstein proposes that humanity has a choice to make – use technology and engineering to substitute for the loss of nature, or take the path of love and stop destroying nature. But this proposal is based on a highly anthropocentric view. Nature itself, not human kind, will decide, and nature does not favor technology. In truth there is no technological solution that will sustain humanity, because technology requires extraction, our planet’s resources are limited, and there is simply not enough raw materials and energy to protect and preserve humanity faster than we would destroy it. At the current rate, the collapse of industrial civilization is inevitable. It is not “if” but “when”. This collapse can take humanity in two directions — selfishness and violence or community and love. Our job is to broadcast this truth and steer toward love.

Can humanity rise above the “either/or” “black or white” scenario to embrace all “that is”?

The masses have been disenfranchised ,but most do not realise it yet. The consequences of a lack of spiritual principles in all of our human systems will rise like a tidal wave to wash away this deadly infection of materialism ,and all systems and individuals who still cling to this materialistically infected way of life.
I like the way Charles thinks and writes.
Will love [only] be the sustaining force that saves our beloved creatures we share this orbiting globe with? We should hope not? The whole eco-system is tied to itself by the very creatures that eat breed and recycle themselves.
Hydroponics leaves mush to be desired in the flavor, or even the health they offer through a chemically grown water bath. We are as organic as the soil from which we [are] ourselves…from.
What to do then to sustain, if not even do better than sustain whats here, but as Charles said, “make it a better planet, a garden of Eden?” We can! It is within our grasp, but fluid, and prone to every whim of doctrine.
It will take a majority of the populace to finally grow extremely tired with the lies from the ruling class, and their media talking heads.
Then, a means to a better future for mankind[and our animal friends] will happen.
It’s as if, when enough people experience what a soldier has, finding an answer will come more easily?
A famous General, and President said this;
“I like to believe that people in the long run are going to do more to promote peace than our governments. Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.”

Imagine what this man had seen to allow him to write that!?
Here was Eisenhower’s comment upon first seeing the atrocities at Ohrdurf concentration camp in April 12, 1945;
“The things I saw beggar description,” said Eisenhower. “The visual evidence and the verbal testimony of starvation, cruelty and bestiality were so overpowering as to leave me a bit sick … . I made the visit deliberately, in order to be in a position to give first-hand evidence of these things if ever, in the future, there develops a tendency to charge these allegations merely to ‘propaganda.’”
That being said; will it take so drastic a measure as [that] for many to wake up? We should hope not?
In my words; “Give peace a chance. By say…both parties of only two ideas, that if given a notice, onlookers from afar, will be drawn to it like a thirsty horse to water, inspiring the occupants to wonder in awe, instead of woe why they come thither?”
Maybe we did lose the approach to a “kingdom of God” upon the earth when Kennedy was killed? but a big piece of it [Eden] still remains! It is why so many come. [that can be another story/topic].
My point though, small communities can still[and are] happen-ing. No great innovations needed, when only a Grist mill is needed to grind meal or flour? Communities open to every possible means to keep animals thriving and callus’s on children’s hands. [or, at the least, learning to accomplish something] be it intellectually, or, hands-on approach?
Small rural communities working and becoming self sustained. Which allows trading with other communities.
In this vision [of mine] I do not see Mega-cities surviving? Too much of everything dug, or cut from this earth to sustain 15 million all in one spot. They are in a constant need of expensive repair. The “mining” alone, the kind where massive machines work around the clock, digging and hauling ore’s of all kinds to keep this massive [and failing] machine going! Not to mention, crime follows crowds.
Anyway, for what it’s worth?
