My beautiful friend and spirit brother Dr. Eddie Glaude (find him on Twitter!) returns to share this thoughts on what is unfolding in America and how we might imagine a better world for all of us. What an honor to spend a little time with this beautiful man so filled with wisdom and soulful observations. Once again he is generous enough to spend some time with us in between multiple appearances on the major networks around the world. This man is truly one of the great wisdom keepers of our time.
Eddie S. Glaude Jr. joined the faculty of Princeton in 2002. He is the author of Exodus! Religion, Race, and Nation in Early 19th Century Black America, In a Shade of Blue: Pragmatism and the Politics of Black America, and editor of Is it Nation Time? Contemporary Essays on Black Power and Black Nationalism.
Professor Glaude co- edited African-American Religious Thought: An Anthology, (2004) with Cornel West.
In 2009 he was awarded Princeton’s President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching. His research interests include American pragmatism, specifically the work of John Dewey, and African American religious history and its place in American public life.
His new book: Democracy in Black
